Marathon Training Log - February 17th - Day 48 - 4 miles
Today begins week 13. 12 of 18 weeks and I have missed only 1 day of training (in week 3 i missed a 3 miler). Today's run was nothing out of the ordinary, 4 miles right at 8 m/m pace. It was about 45 degrees with a little wind. Wore my standard gear, and no pain at all. I could go much faster but this week will be a total of 36 miles, so I am not gonna push it and get injured this close to the peak mileage in week 15 (40 miles). I am really starting to get excited especially with my 20 miler in 2 weeks. That is the longest run of the program and is designed to really get you ready to mentally prepare for the race 3 weeks later. ( The final 3 weeks is a taper down period of rest).

WOW! I will be well past the 300 mile mark after this week. It occurred to me today that I will be kind of lost when this is done, I will have to find something else to obsess over when this is finished.
